I also had a wonderfully long chat with an adorable woman called Carla, we spoke about my work, the Heal's collaboration, my sketches, even my hair style! She was a lovely lady and gave my work such praise, it made me feel so happy to see someone's appreciation for what I'm doing.
This evening was the press launch for the residency and was my first taste of networking and discussing my work with potential buyers and people who took interest! It was a scary prospect but I was armed with my flashy new business cards (which thank goodness came just in time!) and I had my family and friends there to show support which was wonderful.
